Multiple Channels
Connect and manage multiple YouTube channels for simultaneous streaming.
YouCast lets you connect multiple YouTube channels to a single account. This is ideal for creators or businesses that manage multiple YouTube brands, language-specific channels, or different content niches. Each stream you create can be independently directed to any of your connected channels.
Adding Multiple Channels
You can connect channels from different Google accounts. Each channel requires its own Google OAuth authorization. To add a second channel:
Go to Channels
Navigate to the Channels section in your dashboard.
Click "Connect Channel"
This opens the Google authorization flow again.
Sign in with a different Google account
On the Google login screen, switch to the Google account that owns your second YouTube channel.
Grant permissions
Complete the OAuth flow as usual.
Both channels appear in the list
Your Channels page now shows all connected channels. Each stream can be independently directed to any connected channel.
Managing Channels
The Channels overview shows all connected channels with key information:
- Channel name and thumbnail
- Subscriber count (refreshed daily)
- Number of active streams running on this channel
- Connection status (Active / Token Expired / Disconnected)
- Last token refresh date
Token Expiration and Refresh
Google OAuth tokens expire periodically. YouCast automatically refreshes tokens in the background to maintain uninterrupted streaming. However, if a token cannot be refreshed (for example, if you revoked access from your Google account), the channel status will show "Token Expired" and any streams to that channel will stop.
Token expiration alert
If you change your Google account password or revoke YouCast's permissions from your Google account settings, your stream will stop. YouCast will notify you by email and update the channel status on your dashboard. Simply reconnect the channel to restore access.
Simultaneous Streams Across Channels
The number of simultaneous streams you can run across all connected channels depends on your subscription configuration. For example, with 3 stream slots you could have:
- Stream A broadcasting lo-fi music to your music channel
- Stream B broadcasting motivational content to your coaching channel
- Stream C broadcasting product demos to your business channel
- All three running simultaneously, 24/7, without any manual intervention
