Plans & Pricing

How YouCast subscription pricing works — the calculator model, billing cycles, upgrades, and downgrades.

YouCast uses a flexible, calculator-based subscription model. Instead of choosing between fixed plans, you configure exactly what you need: the number of HD streams, 2K streams, and 4K streams, plus your video storage quota. Your monthly price is calculated from these selections. This way you pay only for what you actually use.

What You Configure

ComponentDescription
HD streamsNumber of simultaneous HD (up to 1080p 60fps) streams
2K streamsNumber of simultaneous 2K (1440p 60fps) streams
4K streamsNumber of simultaneous 4K (2160p 60fps) streams
StorageVideo library size in GB

Each component has its own price per unit. The subscription calculator on the Subscription page shows your total price in real time as you adjust the sliders. Once you confirm, the subscription is created and billing begins.

Billing Cycles

After configuring your subscription, choose how often you want to be billed:

CycleDescriptionSavings vs Monthly
MonthlyBilled every 30 days
3-MonthBilled every 3 monthsSave ~7%
6-MonthBilled every 6 monthsSave ~12%
AnnualBilled once per yearSave ~17%

Upgrading (Adding More Streams or Storage)

You can increase your stream count or storage at any time from the Subscription page. Upgrades take effect immediately after payment. The price difference for the remaining period of your current billing cycle is calculated automatically — you pay only the prorated amount for the upgrade, not the full period price.

Upgrade is instant

As soon as your upgrade payment is processed, the new stream slots or storage become available immediately. You do not need to wait for your billing cycle to renew.

Downgrading (Reducing Streams or Storage)

If you reduce the number of streams or your storage quota, the change takes effect at the end of your current billing period — not immediately. Until then, your current subscription limits remain active. After the period ends, your account switches to the new lower configuration.

Check your usage before downgrading

If you reduce your storage quota below your current usage, you will not be able to upload new videos until you free up enough space. Existing videos are not deleted automatically. If you reduce your stream count below your number of active streams, the lowest-priority streams will be stopped at the end of the billing period.
