Lofi Girl's Income: Why Public Estimates Differ by Orders of Magnitude

vidIQ, Outlier Kit and other sites estimate the earnings of the best-known 24/7 lofi channel very differently. What each one measures, what it leaves out and what our own arithmetic shows.

In short

Public estimates of Lofi Girl’s income differ by orders of magnitude because each tool measures different things and leaves others out. The article compares vidIQ, Outlier Kit and other sites, lists claims we could not verify and shows our own arithmetic. Treat every figure as an estimate.

What Two Estimators Show

Four different numbers for Lofi Girl: vidIQ models 23 thousand dollars of ad revenue, Outlier Kit estimates 1 to 5 thousand dollars a month, a podcast title claims 3.5 million dollars a year and our arithmetic implies 0.05 to 0.10 dollars per 1,000 views
How far public estimates of one channel's income differ.
  • vidIQ, read on 5 November 2026: 15.8 million subscribers, about 2.73 billion total views and 481 uploads, with modelled ad revenue of $23K. The page says this is a modelled estimate, not reported creator income, that sponsorships, memberships and merchandise are excluded, and that the exact measurement window is unavailable.
  • Outlier Kit, read in November 2026: an estimated $1K to $5K a month including sponsorship, of which $1K to $2K from ads, and a channel valuation of $32K to $163K. It says the estimates come from public earnings signals and comparable channels.

Claims We Could Not Verify

Other pages go much further. A podcast episode title says the channel earns $3.5 million a year, and a net-worth site gives ad revenue in the millions per year. We found no primary source behind these figures, so we do not use them.

What Our Arithmetic Shows

Outlier Kit lists about 637,000 views a day over the channel's lifetime, which is about 19 million views a month. If the $1K to $2K a month of ad revenue came from those views, it would be about $0.05 to $0.10 per thousand views. That is a very low rate, which shows how rough such models are. This is our calculation from the estimator's own numbers, not a finding about the channel.

What to Take From It

  1. 1Use estimator pages for scale, not for planning.
  2. 2Check what is left out. In vidIQ's case sponsorships, memberships and merchandise are not in the figure.
  3. 3Compare with older analysis. Even in 2020, ads looked like a thin base for lofi.
  4. 4Build your own plan on the numbers in your YouTube Studio.

Where YouCast Fits in a Revenue Plan

YouCast turns the videos you upload into a 24/7 live stream that runs from the cloud, to YouTube and, with a stream key, to Twitch, Kick and Instagram, so there is no encoder to configure, no computer to keep awake and no home upload line to saturate.

YouCast keeps a stream running, but it does not predict what a channel earns. Use your own YouTube Studio numbers, not estimator pages, to plan.

You can try one stream on the free trial and add more streams as the channel grows.
